BT picked up two major awards at the 13th annual World Communication Awards after being voted ‘Best Global Operator’ for the second year running and winning ‘Project of the Year‘ for Superfast Cornwall, the pioneering initiative rolling out super-fast broadband across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
Jeff Kelly, CEO of BT Global Services, said: “I’m delighted that BT Global Services has been awarded the title of Best Global Operator for the second year running. It’s a tribute to the hard work and dedication of everyone in BT who support our global customers every day. We’re making substantial progress as an organisation. And we’re dedicated to providing the very best for our customers. I’m particularly pleased that it’s their positive testimonials which made the difference in the judging for this award. I’d like to thank them for their trust, and look forward to another year as their global operator of choice.”
The awards were announced during an evening ceremony at the Hilton Hotel on London’s Park Lane attended by over 500 influencers and decision-makers, CEOs and senior executives from around the globe.
