Webex Events (Classic) migration to Webex Webinars

Overview

Webex Events (classic) is being deprecated and replaced with Webex Webinars on April 1, 2023. Starting with the 42.9 (September 2022) release, hosts no longer have the ability to schedule Webex Events (classic) and are notified within the scheduler product banners of the change.

Impact description

Hosts will see the banner notification when scheduling a classic event from the Webex site.

Starting with the 42.9 release, as a host, you can no longer pick a start time that is past April 1, 2023 or edit an event to start on dates after April 1, 2023.

If as a host, you have any scheduled events with Webex Events (classic) that start on April 1, 2023 or later, you will still be able to start those events, manage activities within those events, and cancel those events. However, you won’t be able to change the date and time to April 1, 2023 or later. It is recommended to move your events to Webinars as soon as possible.
